About the Director

Karen Hill
Taurus-Scorpio-Taurus

Karen isn’t quite sure where her fascinations with UFOs and Lost Ancient tech came from, but it may have started with Ancient Aliens on the History Channel, 2009.

Before starting her extraterrestrial path she got a Bachelors degree in Media arts from the U of A and worked ten years in television productions. She was behind the camera at every News station in Tucson. Late-breaking news is why she received on the job training as a Graphic artist. Already a multi-talented artist, she left the News business in 2015 work on her Masters degree in Industrial Design at ASU.

It was living in Phoenix that Karen discovered UFO Congress and other UFO Conventions. She said if she heard of any events happening in Arizona, she drove herself there to attend, luckily they were mostly in Phoenix and Sedona so she didn’t have to travel far. At these events she noticed something, she was always the youngest person in the audience and wondered where all the young people were. She says her interests have always had a crowd at least 20 years ahead of her.
In 2020 she saw Dr. Steven Greer’s “Contact of the fifth kind” and curiosity got the best of her. She went on facebook and unfortunately did not find any Arizona CE5 group to join, so she created one. She hosted over a dozen CE5 events in north Phoenix. The CE5 Arizona Network group on facebook has over 500 members and is still growing. Karen has not lead a CE5 meeting since moving back to Tucson in 2022, but she says she would love to.

Karen is a 5th generation Arizonan and a Tucson Native. She believes there
is something magical and ancient about her state and is on a mission to find it.
Whether its portals, other dimensions, long lost Giants, or buried Spanish gold,
there is something about the southwest that is itching to be found out or discovered

On her searches Karen was privileged to help give the owner of Skinwalker Ranch,
Brandon Fugal and super intendant Thomas Winterton a tour of Bradshaw Ranch in Sedona. This led to being a location in Brandon’s new show Beyond Skinwalker. They proved that Bradshaw Ranch as portal like qualities and has a tunnel running under it leading to an underground base.
She has lots of stories on that…

Karen is now the director of Tucson Mufon because she was in the right place at the right time.

At a Mufon camp out east of Payson, Karen was enjoying the company of other UFOlogists. She mentioned to the Director of Phoenix Mufon that she was moving back to Tucson
from Phoenix. Stacey told her that she had been looking for someone to volunteer to be the Director of the Tucson chapter because Tucson hadn’t had a director in years. Karen didn’t hesitate to volunteer. Little did she know of the undertaking and responsibilities this would add to her plate. She was a designer not so much a public organizer.

She first had to become a member of Mufon. She then had to become a Certified Field Investigator. From there she met the previous Director of Tucson Mufon, Diane Gleason. Diane was a great help in guiding her on how to preform investigations and how to be a Director. She created a Tucson Mufon website. Then she created a new Gmail, Twitter and later an Instagram. She collected the 5 year old Tucson Mufon newsletter list of emails. Out of about 200 emails, 60 bounced back. Finding a venue was the hardest. She just needed to find a space that could hold about 100 people and not break the bank. One of those 200 prior members had the great idea to check with the Elks Lodge. Success, she finally had a space to hold the meetings, now she needed to find speakers. Luckily the first speakers were suggested for her, but she has the rest of the speakers has been through word of mouth and the luck of being available. Money was an issue with the last chapter. This is where Karen’s expertise came in to help. Karen is a designer, with a huge interest in company products. She got to work redesigning the brand of Tucson Mufon. She created a new logo, signage and flyers. Then she found promotional companies that could make
pens. Luckily she made a great connection with a local manufacturing company in Tucson to print stickers, embroider hats & shirts and laser engrave tumblers. Karen’s theory is if she can’t make enough funding through Mufon ticket sales, she can make up for it in selling swag. She designs a new set of UFO stickers relating to the Speakers topic for each meeting. And every speaker gets a free engraved Tucson Mufon Speaker tumbler. She’s not sure if any other Mufon chapters do this. but it’s a great idea if they don’t.

Now we’re here…

Karen has left some Easter eggs on this page. The are either information or stories that she has acquired and thinks are interesting.
